Frequently Asked Questions/ FAQ

Is there a warranty for purchased glasses?

Vintage glasses, originals from bygone times, also had to be suitable for heavy real glasses and are therefore basically very stable. If something goes wrong when setting new glasses, which indicates material damage, the glasses will be compensated. This can be done with the purchase price or offset against other glasses.

Are exchanges or returns guaranteed?

Eyewear models that were bought online and are displeased, can be returned for EU citizens within 14 days in accordance with the EU right of withdrawal. In this case, the entire costs paid by the customer for the goods and the forwarding (standard shipping) will be reimbursed (see General Terms and Conditions, point 3 on the right of withdrawal). Unfortunately, an additional reimbursement of the return shipping fee or liability for uninsured return shipping cannot be provided. (See Instructions for Cancellation & Cancellation Form)

What is the total price that I have to pay?

The total price is made up of the basic price, any VAT to be paid immediately (only for members of the EU) and the shipping costs. This information can usually be seen when ordering.

How much are the shipping costs?

Brillovsky customers pay a flat-rate shipping fee for shipping, which is much lower than the actual shipping costs. Standard shipping applies here. The flat rate shipping costs are calculated on the basis of the shipping zone to which the goods are to be shipped and can usually be seen automatically as soon as the order has been placed and information about the shipping location has been provided.
(See Shipping conditions, including all shipping zones with shipping costs)

How long does delivery take?

The duration of the dispatch depends on the dispatch zones and reflects the information provided by the dispatch service provider (see Shipping conditions, table).

Do I get information about the shipping company and a tracking number?

Yes. Brillovsky will send you information on this via e-mail as soon as the goods have been dispatched.

Are the sunglasses UV protected?

The UV protection of the sun lenses used to be not as mandatory as it is today. A sun protection guarantee according to today’s EU standard cannot be given in full for glasses that are below 400 nm (nanometers). These offer only partial protection against the short-wave UVA rays, however complete protection against the harmful long-wave UVB rays. The sun protection is indicated in the product description in the shop: 340 nm to 400 nm. Most old sunglasses, however, have real lenses (nowadays rather unusual), which in turn enhances them for many. Upon request, all sunglasses and glasses frames can be fitted with new sun protection glasses and delivered. If you are interested, please ask for more details by e-mail or phone, including extended delivery times and prices.

Who are there special conditions for?

Inquiries from business customers, e.g. from stylists, costume designers, etc., are treated with favorable terms. It is also possible to rent glasses. Please ask for more details.
