Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Is there a warranty for purchased glasses and sunglasses?
Vintage glasses, originals from the past, had to be suitable for heavy real lenses, which is why they are generally very sturdy. If something goes wrong during the fitting of new lenses that indicates a material defect, the glasses will be replaced. This can be done either with the purchase price plus paid shipping costs or as a credit toward another pair of glasses.
Is exchange or return guaranteed?
Eyeglass models purchased online and not liked may be returned by EU citizens within 14 days in accordance with the EU right of withdrawal. In this case, the total costs paid by the customer for the product and the outbound shipping (standard shipping) will be refunded (see terms and conditions, Section 3 on the right of withdrawal). Unfortunately, additional reimbursement of return shipping fees or liability for uninsured returns cannot be provided (See ! withdrawal information & withdrawal form).
How is the total price I have to pay calculated?
The total price consists of the base price, any applicable value-added tax (VAT) to be paid immediately (for EU residents only), and shipping costs. These details are usually visible when placing the order.
What are the shipping costs?
Brillovsky customers pay a flat shipping fee, which is much lower than the actual shipping costs. Standard shipping applies. The shipping fee is calculated based on the shipping zone to which the order will be sent and is usually automatically displayed once the order is placed and shipping information is provided.

How long does shipping take?
The shipping duration depends on the shipping zones and reflects the information provided by the shipping carriers (see shipping terms, table).
Will I receive information about the shipping company and a tracking number?
Yes. Brillovsky will send information about this via email as soon as the goods have been dispatched. Tracking information is usually provided by the shipping service if consent to share the email address has been given.
Are the sunglasses UV-protected?
Most sunglasses, whether old or new, offer full UV protection and are labeled within the EU as 400 nm (nanometers). Some vintage sunglasses provide around 60% UV protection (indicated in the shop as 360 nm), which is still considered acceptable by today’s standards. Older lenses with lower UV protection are replaced with our own sun protection lenses. Preserved original vintage lenses are usually made of real glass or silicate glass. While these are now uncommon, they are more resistant to scratches, though they can break. Upon request, nearly all sunglasses and all eyeglass frames can be fitted and delivered with new sun protection lenses. (s. About – New glasses)
