Frequently asked questions / FAQ:
Is there a warranty for purchased glasses and sunglasses?
Vintage glasses, originals from a bygone era, also had to be suitable for heavy real lenses and are therefore basically very stable. Should something go wrong when fitting new lenses, indicating material damage, the glasses will be replaced. This can be done at the purchase price plus shipping costs paid or in exchange for another pair of glasses.
Are exchanges or returns guaranteed?
Eyewear models purchased online that are not to the customer's liking may be returned within 14 days for EU citizens in accordance with the EU right of cancellation. In this case, the entire costs paid by the customer for the goods and the outward shipment (Standard shipping) (see GTC, point 3 to Right of cancellation). Unfortunately, no additional reimbursement of the return charges or liability for uninsured returns can be provided (see ! Cancellation policy & cancellation form).
What is the total price that I have to pay?
The total price is made up of the basic price, any VAT payable immediately (EU nationals only) and the shipping costs. This information can usually be seen when ordering.
How high are the shipping costs?
Brillovsky customers pay a flat rate for shipping, which is much lower than the actual shipping costs. Standard shipping applies here. The flat-rate shipping fee is calculated based on the shipping zone to which the goods are to be sent and can usually be seen automatically as soon as the order has been placed and details of the shipping location have been provided.
(See Shipping conditions, including all shipping zones with shipping costs)
How long does the dispatch take?
The shipping time depends on the shipping zones and reflects the information provided by the shipping service providers (see Shipping conditions, table).
Will I receive information about the shipping company and a tracking number?
Yes, Brillovsky will send information by e-mail as soon as the goods have been dispatched. Tracking information is usually sent by the shipping service provider if you have agreed to the e-mail address being passed on.
Are the sunglasses UV-protected?
Most sunglasses, whether old or new, offer full UV protection and are labelled 400 nm (nanometres) in the EU. Some vintage sunglasses offer UV protection of approx. 60 % (labelled 360 nm in the shop), which is still acceptable from today's perspective. Old lenses with lower UV protection are replaced with our own sun protection lenses. Old original sunglasses that have been left in place are usually made of real lenses or silicate lenses. They are rather uncommon today, can break but scratch less. On request, almost all sunglasses and spectacle frames can be fitted and supplied with new sun protection lenses. (s. About - New glasses)
How long does the dispatch take?
The shipping time depends on the shipping zones and reflects the information provided by the shipping service providers (see Shipping conditions, table).
For whom are there special conditions?
Requests from business customers, e.g. stylists, costume designers, etc., are considered on favourable terms. The hire of glasses is also possible. Please enquire for further details.
