Through many years of selling at markets in Berlin, the name Brillovsky has gained a certain level of recognition, not only among Berliners. Brillovsky stands for old, beautiful eyewear design, somewhere between classic and extraordinary. Today, the collection includes vintage eyeglasses and vintage sunglasses from the entire 20th century, with a focus on the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s - original, individual, unique.<\/p>

The enthusiasm for original designs from the past century - whether in furniture, architecture, clothing, or accessories - is the driving force behind the creation of Brillovsky. Holding an item in your hands that is several decades old and no longer produced or available on the regular market is something special. Often, it is the details, the colour, or the material that make the difference between an original and a retro piece. The chance that no one else will have the same model when you own an original pair of glasses is very high - making it truly unique in the truest sense. Preserving the old - this is only morally conservative; in terms of design, it is often the exact opposite and frequently motivated by a desire not to follow every fleeting trend. The wearer of the accessory - eyeglasses or sunglasses - can also outwardly express something: their own personal taste, which at the same time can genuinely and purely reflect their preference for the spirit of a very specific time.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

If eyeglass frames are to be fitted with sun protection lenses, or if different lenses are desired for sunglasses (which is possible for most models), Brillovsky offers this service for a relatively small fee: \u20ac20 for regular lenses and \u20ac25 for gradient lenses. Also available are photochromic sun lenses that automatically adjust to sunlight (\u20ac40). Clear lenses without prescription strength are also possible (\u20ac25).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Brillovsky's market sales take place every Saturday at the Boxhagener Platz weekly market and every Sunday at the Boxhagener Platz flea market in Berlin-Friedrichshain. The latter is a flea market that is extremely popular with Berliners and visitors to Berlin. The word \u201eflea market\u201c is taken literally here - a pure, authentic flea market. Used and vintage items of all kinds are offered here: furniture, vinyl, everyday objects of all kinds, clothing and accessories, and much more. The weekly market has been around for over 100 years. In addition to food - many of which are regional, many of which are organic - there are also other stalls offering interesting items - crafts, art, fashion, and more.<\/p>

The \u201eBoxi\u201c is a square with stalls on the outside and a lawn in the middle for relaxing, a meeting place for different people from Friedrichshain or from all over the city or even the world.
